Scoring

HYPER CUP Scoring System

This league will be organized in a season format, and will consist of a series of opt-in tournaments.
Points for the Hyper Cup are awarded in two ways:

  1. Final ranking in each competitive tournament. (HCCT)
  2. Participation in mutator/fun tournaments. (HCF)

Participation in each tournament is not mandatory, however the teams with the most points at the end of the season will qualify for the Championship tournament and a chance to win the Hyper Cup.

Points Distribution (HCCT)

1st Place: 900 points
2nd Place: 500 points
3rd Place: 400 points
4th Place: 300 points
5th-8th Place 200 points

Points for Mutator/Fun Tournaments

100-300 per participation

This is a pilot season, we will learn and improve together as we grow.

The nature of opt-in tournaments will allow people to take this league as seriously or as relaxed as they see fit which could make this perfect for people who may not feel ready for dash league yet. Teams can sign up for a single tourney and no others if that’s what they wish to do!

There will not be a cut off for signups. Teams can enter at any point and sign up for the next tourney. Although, missing out on many tournaments will likely make it impossible to compete for the Hyper Cup Championship Tournament otherwise known as the HCCT.

Please check out our Discord server and start looking at forming teams! If you would like to form a team please feel free to post an ad in recruiting once you have at least 6 players please dm a mod or a board member for the @Captain role so you can post your roster in rosters. Any roster changes will be put in roster-changes.

APAC Season 3 – Season Structure

  1. The regular season consists of every team playing the other 4 teams 3 times each on up to 9 different maps. The top 2 teams at the end of the regular season go on to play in the final while teams #3 & #4 play off for 3rd position.
  2. The 3rd/4th finals match-up  will be a best of 3 maps. The highest tier team will choose the first map, next highest will choose the 2nd map and the tie-break map will be control point. All non tie-break maps played in regular season are eligible to be played.
  3. The final match-up will be a best of 5 maps. The highest tier team will choose the first map, next highest will choose the 2nd map and repeat for the next 2 maps. The tie-break will be control point. All non tie-break maps played in regular season are eligible to be played.
  4. In the case of tied Rank Points for determining finalist sides then the team with the better win rate over the opposition they are tied with will deem the higher ranking.

Rank Point

  1. Teams are ranked first by how many Rank Points they acquire over a season.
  2. Rank points are scored as follows:
Rank Points
Outcome Pts Gained Example
2 / 0 Win 6 Your team wins both maps, no tie break map required
2 / 1 Win 4 Each team wins 1 map, your team wins tie-break
1 / 0 Win 3 1st map is a draw (CTF) and your team wins the 2nd map
1 / 2 Loss 2 Each team wins 1 maps, the opposition wins the tiebreak
0 / 1 Loss 1 1st map is a draw (CTF) and your team loses the 2nd map
0 / 2 Loss 0 Your team loses both maps

  1. Forfeitures should never occur as teams are expected to play even if they do not have a full squad of players. If there is some instance where this is unavoidable (Please consult with the ‘Cup Admin’ Team) the forfeiting team gets 0 pts and the other team gets 6 pts.

Although ‘Coast’ can end in a draw ‘Dust Park’ however is a tie-break map and must not. If teams are tied at the map conclusion then the map must be restarted immediately and play ‘Golden Point’. This means the first team to score wins. Return teams to lobby as soon as the score is complete. The map will be played as many times as required to get that first score in Golden point. If player stats are to be recorded then only those from the first full play-through of the map are to be recorded.
